The Battle for Bedford Falls was brutal and bloody. It was the last stronghold of humanity left in Kentucky. They had prepared. They had the military base. The city council acted decisively when the "flu" started to spread around the world. But in the end it wouldn't be the undead that would bring the downfall of the last semblance of society. It would be outsiders. Other humans. The real monsters in this world. Just as they were in the old world. Humans are just as gluttonous as the undead that scour the Earth looking for flesh to fill their never ending hunger. So it was good for almost a year in Bedford Falls. Supplies were abundant, utilities continued to work, people were happy and if you didn't venture outside the city, it was almost like everything was normal. But nothing good ever lasts. And word inevitably spreads. About how well off it was in the city. So they came. Some desperate, some just truly evil. The battle started 2 months ago and it hasn't stopped. Where Bedford Falls was once full of hope, now it is full of despair. The defenses are broken. Undead roam the streets with bandits around every corner. The lights and water are failing. Now all that's left is 2 small communities. Fighting to survive. Our last messenger never returned from South Bedford Falls, and they aren't answering the radio. I don't know if they are still friendly, preparing to attack us or have been overrun by bandits. I should flee to the wilderness. But I won't. I'll rebuild this place or die trying.
